Home Who we are News 24 April 2017 At the hospital Easter joy to our children’s hospital The Children’s Hospital Foundation brought the joy of Easter to Queensland Children’s Hospital last month. We welcomed several special (and some furry) guests to the hospital, all to bring big smiles to the faces of sick kids. Famous hairdresser, Stefan, and his charity ‘MASKS Foundation’ (Make A Sick Kid Smile) kicked off the Easter celebrations, with a convoy of police vehicles taking over the hospital grounds. The Easter Bunny was escorted by the team from Stefan as well as members of the Queensland Police Service. The Children’s Hospital Foundation continued the Easter celebrations with our own Easter party for kids and their families. Guests were treated to special performances from the Army Pep Band, Peebo and Dagwood Clowns, Minnie Mouse and much more. Children and their families also enjoyed our animal farm, crazy candle making, sand wizard workshop as well as glitter tattoos, face painting and special Easter crafts. The Children’s Hospital Foundation is dedicated to supporting sick kids and their families when they are in hospital by offering a range of programs and activities that provide welcome distractions and entertainment for all. Thank you to everyone who helped make today an egg-cellent day for children and their families. chevron_leftPrevious article Share Next articlechevron_right Latest News & Events 2021 Regional Working Wonders Scheme February 22, 2021 Read more 2021 Working Wonders Grant Round February 16, 2021 Read more Young researcher aims to lessen impact of transition to adult care February 11, 2021 Read more Subscribe for the latest news There is always something interesting happening in our world.
