Home Who we are News 20 January 2021 Featured News Help sick kids and win big! Four brand new cars and hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes are up for grabs, simply by helping support kids doing it tough, battling illness or injury. Local shoppers have the chance to win a range of prizes worth more than $169,000 during January and February as part of the Children’s Hospital Foundation’s annual raffle, hosted by Woolworths. The raffle’s top prizes are four brand new Hyundai’s, including a Tucson Active Auto, i30 Sedan Active Auto, Kona and a Venue. As well as vehicles, there are also two $10,000 Flight Centre holiday packages, and two $10,000 Woolworths gift card packs to purchase groceries for a year. All proceeds raised through this raffle will go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation to help fund support and entertainment for kids in hospital, state-of-the-art equipment and lifesaving paediatric research. Children’s Hospital Foundation CEO Rosie Simpson said funds raised through the raffle would help the Foundation continue its work supporting sick kids and their families. “This raffle helps us to provide better support and invest in critical research, equipment and services for sick kids and their families right across Queensland and northern New South Wales, giving them the best possible chance for a healthy future,” Ms Simpson said. “Every single dollar from this raffle will help us support sick and injured kids, and it’s incredible to see the power that Woolworths customers and team can have when they come together for a good cause.” Woolworths General Manager QLD, Chris Peters, said he hopes this raffle might help to improve what has been a particularly challenging time for Queenslanders. “We know many Australians have had a tough year and those with children in hospital have had even more challenges to navigate,” Mr Peters said. “This raffle will ensure the Children’s Hospital Foundation can continue providing children with the best research and resources possible. We’re committed to bringing a little good to everyone, every day and this is a simple way Woolworths and our customers can help make a big difference.” To enter, Woolworths customers can simply purchase a $2 ticket in-store until 02 February 2021.
