On Friday 3 September the Children’s Hospital Foundation held their inaugural Thank You Day.
Everything we do for sick and injured kids is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters, partners, and the community, and so this day was all about saying thank you.
35 members of the Foundation team, including board members, called over 950 supporters to say thank you and enjoyed hearing about why they had chosen to support the Foundation. There were some wonderful stories, lots of laughs, and even a few tears. To ensure we thanked as many donors as possible over 11,000 thank you emails were also sent.
“It is only with the support of our wonderful community that we can continue to work wonders for sick kids and their families through vital research, cutting edge equipment and patient and family support services. It was inspiring to be able to speak directly with our supporters and hear their stories” said Olivia Jary, Chief Marketing and Fundraising Officer.
As well as thanking our donors we said a special thank you to over 220 wonderful volunteers who give their time to help work wonders for sick kids.
However, our community chooses to support us, whether it’s through a one-off or regular donation, a raffle ticket, or an in-store token campaign…we’d like to say thank you!
