Home Who we are News 13 October 2020 Featured News Jimmy Barnes set to belt out bangers for sick kids The Nine Telethon, in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, today confirmed the first act for the 2020 Telethon – the iconic Jimmy Barnes! Jimmy will perform some of his most iconic songs to help raise funds for Queensland sickest kids on 14 November 2020. Jimmy Barnes is the heart and soul of Australian rock and roll. He has sold more records in Australia than any other local rock and roll artists. He has enjoyed seventeen #1 albums here – more than the Beatles – and over 40 years, he has delivered some of the most intense and iconic live performances of our time. He truly is in a league of his own. Between watching Barnsey’s vocal performances, viewers will also be able to watch powerful and inspiring stories of Queensland’s sick kids – the real stars of the show – including 2020 ambassador Isaac, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour. Money raised from the Nine Telethon will help the Children’s Hospital Foundation support sick kids by funding life-saving medical research, cutting-edge medical equipment, and patient and family support programs.
