Home Who we are News 14 October 2019 Featured News Go the distance for sick kids this November! This year we have introduced a community fundraising campaign to support our largest fundraising event of the year, the Nine Telethon. 42k Your Way Telethon Marathon is a marathon, but not as you know it! You can run, walk or swim. Take four hours, five days or two weeks – the choice is yours. This marathon is all about going the distance for sick kids, not how you get there! As a participant you will commit to complete 42k Your Way between Friday 1 November and the Nine Telethon on Saturday, 16 November! You can do this anywhere, and if you are more of a treadmill runner than a park runner, those kilometres’ count too. Registration is free and although there is no minimum fundraising amount, the more you raise, the more that goes towards working wonders for sick kids and if you hit $300 there will be an exclusive 42K Your Way running shirt on its way to you. Why are you doing this? The Children’s Hospital Foundation helps sick and injured kids by funding life-saving medical research, investing in vital new equipment, and providing support and entertainment for children and their families. We are committed to making a difference in the fight against childhood illness and injury so that every child can grow up as happy and healthy as possible. All the funds you raise will help us do this. So, whether you have an individual quest to conquer, want to challenge your friends and colleagues or you want to work with them as a team – this is your chance to hit that goal and go the distance for sick kids.
