BOQ working wonders with It’s Possible Cycle Tour 2018.

From May 25-26 Bank of Queensland (BOQ) riders, business partners and friends will set out to cover 350km over two days through the New South Wales hinterland – determined to support the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

BOQ has partnered with the Children’s Hospital Foundation since 2015. The amazing team from BOQ, their networks, families, friends and partners have helped work wonders with life-saving medical research and equipment for sick children.

The strong synergy with BOQ’s community investment strategy aligns very positively to support the issues affecting young Australians. You can read more about our valued BOQ community partnership here.

Funds raised will help kids breathe easier with ground-breaking research happening here in Queensland at the Centre for Children’s Health Research.

This landmark Australian study is being conducted at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and is revolutionising the treatment of children with bronchiolitis.

The funding for this International Collaboration Clinical Trial using High-Flow Oxygen Therapy is the focus for this year’s It’s Possible Cycle Tour with the hope to ultimately deliver safe and simple measures in respiratory care in emergency departments and general paediatric departments in both metropolitan and regional hospitals.

“There is a simple treatment that is making a profound difference to respiratory care to infants and children here in Australia and has huge potential for underdeveloped countries’ paediatric healthcare systems too.”

– Associate Professor Andreas Schibler
Head of Paediatric Critical Care Research Group, Queensland Children’s Hospital and The University of Queensland

With Associate Professor Andreas Schibler riding in the It’s Possible Cycle Tour, riders are going to have unique access to his truly amazing study that is working wonders for sick children here in Queensland, around Australia and around the world.
