Home Who we are News 12 December 2017 At the hospitalA Christmas message from our CEO It has been an incredible year for the Children’s Hospital Foundation. We are proud to be making a real difference to the lives of our sickest kids and their families, while they’re in hospital and wherever they live throughout Queensland.The Children’s Hospital Foundation are proud to have funded more than $3,400,000 towards vital research in life-saving treatments, improving clinical care aiding recovery for kids with trauma and burn injuries, discovering rapid diagnoses for infectious diseases and helping those with respiratory diseases to breathe easier. We are also excited about the formation of our Research Alliance, a joint initiative of Children’s Health Queensland and Children’s Hospital Foundation which will bring universities, researchers and clinicians together to pursue a program of big ideas, that will change health outcomes for children. Together, we are aiming to raise more than $25 million over the next five years thanks to the support of people like you.We have funded almost $400,000 to purchase new specialised medical equipment throughout Queensland to help our hospital clinical teams deliver the very best care for our children. We also supported a range of clinical programs and services throughout the region to ensure all sick kids have access to the best possible care, wherever they live. With our support, those families experiencing the toughest of times, receive the care and support they need.Our incredible volunteers made our children’s hospital a very special place every day of the year, helping sick kids to laugh and smile, get better and go home sooner.
