Home Who we are News 3 March 2017 In the communityBattle of the Buns $1 from every packet of hot cross buns you buy from the Old Fernvale Bakery will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation Can't make it into the store?DONATE ONLINE NOW!Old Fernvale Bakery and River 94.9 FM are launching a very special ‘Battle of the Buns’ fundraiser, all to support sick kids and their families at Queensland Children’s Hospital.The idea originated from Victoria, where a Bushies Bakery has been donating a portion of the sale of hot cross buns at Easter time to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.This year, Old Fernvale Bakery will be battling it out with Bushies Bakery, aiming to raise the most money to help sick kids.Until Easter Monday, $1 from every packet of hot cross buns sold will go towards the Children’s Hospital Foundation, helping to make kids laugh and smile, get better and go home sooner.With more than 12 flavours to choose from, including Pina Colada, Jaffa, peppermint and choc-chip, there is sure to be a hot cross bun to suit every member of the family!Keep an eye out for the River 94.9 FM Confidence Cruisers weekday mornings between 6 March and 11 April, when Marnie and Campo for Breakfast will be serving up fresh Old Fernvale Bakery hot cross buns on site.Purchase your hot cross buns today to help the Children’s Hospital Foundation make an even bigger difference to the lives of sick children.
