Family Resource Centre

Level 2A, Monday to Friday 8am – 8pm

Parents’ worlds are turned upside down by a sudden illness or injury to their child.

We run a dedicated Family Resource Centre at the Queensland Children’s Hospital that gives families, particularly those from remote or regional areas, a quiet space for rest and relaxation, a quiet non-clinical space to relax, read a book or watch TV.

We provide free wifi, information on local support groups, phones, faxes, computers, and printing facilities.

From Monday to Friday the family resource centre also offers a play area, supervised by our volunteers. Please note children under 3 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and a parent or guardian must remain on site at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Our friendly team at the Family Resource Centre can also assist with loan iPads, strollers and emergency clothing for families who need it.
