Being part of the Leadership team and working closely with the Chief Marketing and Fundraising Officer, you will be responsible for developing our Philanthropy strategy to achieve a sustainable leap in annual income across the entire portfolio. This includes securing significant new gifts, growing existing donors, increasing bequest confirmations, and ultimately increasing the lifetime value of donors. Importantly you will play a leadership role in inspiring an internal culture that understands and contributes to an organisation-wide donor-centric approach.

The Head of Philanthropy will lead a highly skilled and capable team and is responsible for ambitious but achievable financial outcomes and targets.

The philanthropy portfolio includes mid-value and major gifts, bequests, and trusts and foundations.

This role supports the Family Liaison and Patient Experience teams, to improve the support provided to families and CHQ staff. As a nurturing and passionate individual, you will:

  • Support the Family Liaison team in delivering Inpatient Orientations and connecting families with relevant support services to positively influence their healthcare experience.
  • Identify families who would benefit from external family experiences and Juiced TV.
  • Supervision, organisation and coordination of entertainment services and volunteers to deliver enjoyable entertainment services for patients and families through Kidzone (playroom), Inpatient Units and Outpatient Clinics.
  • Completion of daily administration tasks which includes but is not limited to checking emails, calendars, voicemail, and statistics collection.

Please note as this position is based within the Queensland Children’s Hospital the recruitment for this role is on hold whilst we navigate the current COVID situation. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of high-value corporate partnerships to drive income growth. You will develop partnership plans in conjunction with corporate partners identifying opportunities for sponsorship and participation, workplace giving, and employee engagement.
